Last updated: March 7, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how CreatorPost ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our service at creatorpost.app (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- TikTok Account Information: When you authorize CreatorPost via TikTok's OAuth flow, we receive your TikTok user ID, display name, and an access token that allows us to publish videos on your behalf.
- Video Content: We process video files and associated metadata (captions, hashtags, scheduled time) that you choose to submit for publishing. We do not retain video content after it has been successfully published.
- Usage Data: We may collect basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited in order to operate and improve the Service.
- Email Address: If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address to notify you of product updates.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Authenticate you and maintain your session with CreatorPost.
- Publish video content to TikTok on your behalf, using the permissions you explicitly grant.
- Send you product updates and announcements (waitlist members only, with the ability to opt out at any time).
- Monitor and improve the reliability and performance of the Service.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
We may share information with:
- TikTok: We interact with TikTok's official APIs on your behalf. Your use of CreatorPost is also subject to TikTok's Privacy Policy.
- Infrastructure providers: We use Cloudflare for hosting and edge computing. Cloudflare may process request metadata in accordance with their own privacy policy.
- Legal authorities: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.
4. Data Retention
We retain your TikTok access token only as long as necessary to fulfill your scheduled posts or until you revoke access. Video files are deleted from our systems promptly after successful publication. Email addresses on the waitlist are retained until you unsubscribe.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at matt@mattdonders.com.
5. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypting tokens at rest and in transit and limiting access to stored credentials to authorized systems only. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
